The Energy Solutions business unit is fit for the future
Banner batteries offer innovative energy solutions
Apart from its well-established and profitable Automotive business unit, Banner has a second operational area, the business unit Energy Solutions, in which it is pursuing an expansive strategy. The company is thus opening up to innovative technologies, particularly in the field of energy storage solutions for critical infrastructure and recently took a significant step in this direction by investing around ten million euros in the development of its new location for the business unit Energy Solutions in Thalheim near Wels, Austria.
Leonding, 12.12.2023. Banner is a premium supplier of high-performance energy storage solutions and in addition, its second business unit is breaking new ground with powerful electricity storage systems for mobile and stationary applications. As Andreas Bawart,Commercial CEO of Banner, stresses, “We combine a wide-ranging product portfolio with decades of expertise in the battery industry in order to develop customised solutions that are precisely tailored to the individual requirements of our customers.” From electric forklift trucks and aerial work platforms to self-propelled transport systems, tractors and floor cleaning machines, the diversity of applications for Banner batteries is virtually limitless. A fact demonstrated clearly in the leisure sector, where owing to their outstanding performance, dependable Banner products also impress in golf carts, campers, boats and caravans.
Banner batteries provide essential support in blackout scenarios
At a time when renewable energies are paving the way to a sustainable future, Banner batteries play a key role. They facilitate the efficient storage of alternatively generated electricity and guarantee the reliable availability required to ensure a constant energy supply. Customised energy storage solutions counteract the blackouts caused by sudden and prolonged power or infrastructure failures and are therefore crucial to the critical infrastructures used in hospitals and in security systems, irrespective of whether these involve alarms, emergency lighting or fire protection. Uninterrupted operational readiness is also extremely important for IT and telecommunications systems. Therefore, safety and emergency power batteries ensure an uninterrupted power supply and protect against power failures and voltage fluctuations. They thus secure communications and prevent data loss.
Thalheim is ready for tomorrow
Since the opening of the location in June 2022, the Energy Solutions business unit in Thalheim has been continuously preparing to meet the significant increase in demand for energy storage solutions, while simultaneously tapping into new markets. As Andreas Bawart summarises, “This strategic move underlines our determination to not only respond to current requirements, but also to actively tackle future developments. Our aim is to continue to offer innovative solutions and expand our presence on an international level in order to meet the needs of our customers worldwide.”
