WHAT IS A LONG-TERM DISCHARGE BATTERY?

A long-term discharge battery in the hobby/leisure sector is required to supply a much lower current for the on-board power supply and a large number of electrical or electronic consumers over a longer period of time, and it is also discharged and recharged several times.

This means that the technology and components differ significantly from those of a conventional starter battery, so that the use of a car starter battery in a cyclical application can lead to premature battery wear and even total failure of the battery in the first few months of operation.
